After a several year hiatus, The Cottars’ award-winning vocalist Fiona MacGillivray is back with brand new music. Watch this October for “The Schumann Project:” an exciting collection of original songs inspired by the compositions of Romantic composer Robert Schumann. The classics have been completely reimagined for contemporary audiences and will be performed by an ensemble of exemplary Cape Breton musicians, lead by Fiona MacGillivray. You’ll hear touches of folk, Celtic, jazz and pop stylings over Schumann’s original classical melodies, promising a beautiful night of art and music for all who attend.
